We had such a blast last year – we're going back! Join us for the third EFFA Vegan Camp to Tintagel – an (up to) three night camping trip to Tintagel on the North Cornwall coast over the August Bank Holiday weekend: August 25-28.

We’ll be staying at the Headland Camping and Caravan Park located right beside the coastal path and on the edge of Tintagel within a five minute walk of the village centre with its restaurants, pubs and Pengenna pasty shop (the vegan pasties are divine).
NO NEED TO CONTACT THE CAMPSITE DIRECT – EFFA just need to give numbers for camping at least one week prior to the event. Definite numbers will be needed for the St Nectan’s Glen lunch and evening meal bookings by mid August.
Camping costs are very reasonable – see website:

If camping's not your bag, there are many hotels, inns and guest houses in the village (two guest houses are immediately adjacent to the campsite – please see links on the map for most accommodation in the village). Alternatively, the famous Michael House vegan guest house is approximately two miles from the campsite.

Friday August 25:
Arrive afternoon/evening. Pengenna take-out pasties around our camp followed by a trip into the village to have a drink in one (or more) of the many pubs. We'll take orders for pasties a few days before.

Saturday August 26:
It was just so good last time, it’s happening (yet) again! 🙂 We’ve organised another trip to magical St Nectan’s Glen. We’ll hike through spectacular ancient tropical-like woodland to visit the beautiful waterfall and hermitage in time for a light vegan lunch* at the adjacent woodland tea rooms. The restaurant has been expanded this year and there will be a larger choice of vegan options. Bookings required.
Evening meal around the camp or in town.

Sunday August 27:
The area of coastal path that spans this section of North Cornwall is truly spectacular. We’ll set off on a walk after a leisurely breakfast, or we can visit the castle and the 14th-century Tintagel Old Post Office. Evening meal at Anniden's Bistro cooked by their pop-up vegan chef. This will be a three-course Indian feast at only £12 per head - bookings required.

Monday August 28:
Either leave after breakfast or we can fit in one of the activities we missed before we head home.

EFFA Vegan Camp is a relaxed, informal event. Stay for all three nights, just for one, or visit for the day trips only – it’s up to you. Suggestions welcome. Look forward to seeing you.
*Definite numbers required for the lunch and meal out.

Everyone is very welcome, but if you're not already vegan, all we ask is that you keep to a vegan diet for the duration of the camp - thank you.

Well behaved dogs on leads are allowed on the campsite and at St Nectan's Glen, but they won't be allowed in the restaurant on Sunday night and may not be allowed in some of the pubs we visit.
